You are Not a Great Nation!

America, you are not a great nation! You have turned your back on God. The evidence is seen in the way you live![1] The Lord God says to you, “You are a nation of people who keeps on sinning—a nation of people who are lovers of self and utterly self-centered. You are lovers of money and aroused by an inordinate greedy desire for wealth. America you are proud and arrogant and contemptuous boasters. You are an abusive blasphemous and scoffing people—disobedient to parents, ungrateful, unholy and profane. You are without natural human affection (callous and inhuman), relentless (admitting to no truce or appeasement). You are slanderers (false accusers, troublemakers), intemperate and loose in morals and conduct, uncontrolled and fierce. America you are haters of good—treacherous betrayers, rash, and inflated with self-conceit, lovers of sensual pleasures and vain amusements more than and rather than lovers of God. And America although you hold a form of piety (true religion), your conduct belies the genuineness of your profession of faith in God!”[2]

America, you are not a great nation! The evidence is seen in that you do not practice the righteousness of God, instead you choose to live in your wickedness, sinfulness, and disobedience—you practice sin and so you are unable to discern between good and evil.[3] Claiming to be smart and wise, you have become utter fools and have made simpletons of yourselves. So God has given you up in the lusts of your own hearts to sexual impurity, to the dishonoring of your bodies among yourselves, abandoning you to the degrading power of sin! Why? Because you have exchanged the truth of God for a lie and chosen to worship and serve one another rather than God—your Creator! For this reason God has given you over and abandoned you to vile affections and degrading passions. Now your women have exchanged their natural function for an unnatural and abnormal one, and your men have also turned from natural relations with women and are set ablaze—burning out, consumed—with lust for one another—men committing shameful acts with men and as a result of this sin, they are suffering within themselves the due penalty they deserve for their perversion.[4]

America, there is only one answer—repent and turn back to God before it is too late! You are a wicked, sinful and rebellious nation—an abomination before the Holy God of the universe! You have turned from the God of Truth, you have turned from the God who guides and directs you unto all truth, and you have turned from the Way, the Truth and Life!

America, you have rebelled against and rejected the only One who can save you—the Lord Jesus Christ!

America, you are an evil unrepentant nation and the judgment hand of Almighty God is coming down upon you! Repent before it is too late—from your “king,” to your “leaders,” to the least of you! Repent and turn back to God. Who knows, God may withdraw His burning anger and relent concerning the calamity which He is about to bring down upon you![5]
