America – Chaos, Ruin and Devastation are Coming!

The Voice of Jeremiah’s rebuke: O America, chaos, ruin and devastation are coming! I grieve and mourn for you. I am heartbroken and sorrowful before the LORD, for the LORD has explained to His servant why the judgment and fall of America is coming. It is because, America, you are a foolish nation, you do not know God! You are willfully stupid children who lack understanding! If you would be as skillful in holy, righteous living as you are in sinning, God would bless you instead of judge you! 

Thus says the LORD: “America, your punishment will continue until it has accomplished its purpose, for you are foolish people; you do not know and understand Me. You are stupid, thickheaded children and have no understanding. You are skilled and clever enough in doing what is evil, but you have no idea how to do what is good and right.”[1] 

The Voice of Jeremiah’s rebuke: America, a great tragedy has occurred in the land! Because you refuse to believe God, and repent and turn back to Him, you are falling to your own destruction by the judgment hand of God![2] People of America, rather than turn to God and His wisdom, you turn to the foolishness of your own wild imaginations. You are like prostitutes who try to seduce other nations to come to you and help stop the dissolution and collapse of America at the hands of your evil and deceitful “king” and his corrupt servants. It is their wickedness that will lead to America’s collapse and final destruction! They are God’s judgment on America!

But your “lovers” are not responding to your pleas. You have trusted in your political alliances instead of trusting the Lord! O foolish people of America, you will become like women in travail, like women in the grip of distress, agony, anguish and pain in childbirth as the judgment of God comes upon you![3] 

The Voice of Jeremiah’s plea: O America, overwhelming chaos is coming to your nation![4] No matter where I look, the LORD shows me ruin and devastation! Even the stable mountains will shake! Only God’s mercy can keep you from complete destruction![5] But the Lord Jesus Christ, the Savior of the world, specializes in hopeless cases. He breaks the power of sin and He sets the prisoner free from the bondage of his sin.[6] Repent, mourn your sin, turn back to God our Savior, and be saved before it is too late!

    I think of this passage very often, and I realize the people, leaders and “king” of America don’t.

    Galatians 6:7-10(NASB)
    7 Do not be deceived, God is not mocked; for whatever a man sows, this he will also reap.
    8 For the one who sows to his own flesh will from the flesh reap corruption, but the one who sows to the Spirit will from the Spirit reap eternal life.
    9 Let us not lose heart in doing good, for in due time we will reap if we do not grow weary.
    10 So then, while we have opportunity, let us do good to all people, and especially to those who are of the household of the faith.

    We cannot escape the moral and spiritual consequences of our behavior any more than we can escape the physical consequences of our behavior whether it be for good or for bad. The law of sowing and reaping is certain.
    I pray that those who love and belong to the Lord our God, continue to stand upright on the Cornerstone Jesus Christ our Lord and Master through whatever has to come, serving Him and loving one another.
