America, hear the LORD’s message to The Voice of Jeremiah. “Arise and go down to the potter’s house, and there I will announce My words to you.” So I went down to the potter’s house, and there he was, working at the wheel. But the vessel that he was making from the clay became flawed in the potter’s hand, so he crushed it into a lump of clay again and started over. Then the word of the LORD came to me saying, “O people of America, don’t I have the right to do with you what the potter did with the clay?”—this is the LORD’s declaration. “Just like clay in the potter’s hand, so are you in My hand, O people of America![1]

The Voice of Jeremiah’s Rebuke:  America, the Sovereign God of the universe is the Potter and you are the clay! And just as when the clay resists the potter’s hand so that the vessel is ruined, and then the potter patiently kneads the clay and makes another vessel, so God will do with you, America![2] Just as the potter has power over the clay, so God has Sovereign authority and power over you! America, God—the Potter—does not need nor seek advice from you—the clay! He is interested in neither your counsel nor your criticism!

This what the LORD says: “For who has known the mind of the Lord? Or who has become His counselor and is able to give Him advice? Who are you, a mere man, to criticize and contradict and answer back to God? Will the thing formed say to him who formed it, ‘Why have you made me like this?’”[3]

The Voice of Jeremiah’s Rebuke:  America, you are a nation of individuals and each individual has the ability to receive God’s Word or reject it. Each individual is made from the dust of ground[4] and lives in a fragile body.[5] But unlike the clay on the potter’s wheel, each individual in America has the ability to resist or submit to God.

God has announced to you, America, that He is framing evil and judgment against you! If you repent as a nation, God will deliver you. But if you are so chained to your sins that you would rather choose to follow your own evil and wicked plans, and you would rather worship dead idols and suffer for it than serve the true and living God and enjoy His blessings! Then surely, it is true of you, your hearts are deceitful and desperately wicked![6]

People of America, in rejecting your God and choosing dumb, worthless, useless, and powerless idols, you are acting contrary to everything reasonable and right. God has made you for Himself, and you cannot succeed apart from Him.[7] Instead of choosing to walk on God’s clear and safe highway of holiness,[8] you willfully choose to walk on a dangerous and painful detour. You do it, because you have abandoned the blessed paths of God’s holy Law. And because you will not repent, God must judge and chasten you; this means ruin for the land and scattering for the people. Instead of God’s face shining upon you in blessing, God will turn His back to you and leave you to your own wicked devices resulting in your judgment and destruction!

The Voice of Jeremiah’s plea: O America, like the patient potter, God is willing to mold you again even though you have resisted Him and damaged your own lives. Although you will certainly suffer for your sins, no failure in your lives needs to be fatal or final. God is merciful! He gave new beginnings to Abraham, Moses, David, Jonah, and Peter when they failed, and He can do the same for you!

O America, overwhelming chaos is coming to your nation! [9] No matter where I look, the LORD shows me ruin and devastation! Even the stable mountains will shake! But America, only God’s mercy can keep you from complete destruction! [10] But the Lord Jesus Christ, the Savior of the world, specializes in hopeless cases. He breaks the power of sin and He sets the prisoner free from the bondage of his sin. [11] Repent, mourn your sin, turn back to God, and be saved before it is too late!

The Voice of Jeremiah’s Rebuke:  America, you have rejected the true God for false gods of you own making. You worship the creature rather than the Creator. Therefore, God is abandoning you, America! He is abandoning you to your vile affections and degrading passions, to the ultimate expression of your moral degeneracy—homosexuality!—the most degrading and repulsive of all human passions!

Hear the Word of the LORD: America, “For this reason God gave them over to their shameful desires, and abandoned them to vile affections and degrading passions. For their women exchanged their natural function, natural sexual intercourse, for an unnatural and abnormal one—and instead indulged in sex with each other. In the same way the men instead of having normal sexual relations with women also turned from those natural relations with women and were set ablaze—burning out, consumed—with lust for one another, men with men committing shameful, indecent acts and suffering in their own bodies and personalities the inevitable consequences and penalty of their wrong-doing and going astray. In the end, they suffered within themselves the penalty they deserved for their perversion and wrongdoing.”[1]

America, your vile affections and degrading passions rise out of your fallen human hearts—hearts that have perverted God’s truth and His created order. You have perverted the truth of Almighty God by dishonestly twisting and expressing that which is God-given and natural. Homosexuality is neither God-given nor natural—it is abnormal and unnatural!

America, you are under God’s judgment and are falling to our own destruction, because of rampant homosexuality among your people! Your women exchange natural intimate sexual relations for those which are abnormal and unnatural! And in the same way also your men, have abandoned the natural function of the woman and burned in their desire toward one another, men with men committing shameful, indecent acts.

America, you have allowed homosexuality to permeate every nook and cranny of your nation! Your people burn in lust for each other! You are like the homosexuals of Sodom! You are so passionately consumed with your lust that you ignore the fierce judgment of God that is about to come upon you! You are so consumed with lust that you will do whatever it takes to pursue your vile passion![2]

America, you are a nation of Sodomites!—immoral godless sexual deviates who commit the most bizarre acts of sex imaginable! You simply cannot contain the pent-up charges and energy of your homosexual relationships!  Read the rest of this entry »

The Voice of Jeremiah’s Rebuke:  America, God’s righteous anger and judgment is coming against you who scoff at Him! God will show His holy anger and indignation from heaven against you! America, you are sinful, wicked people, who repress and hinder the truth of God and make it inoperative by your wickedness.[1] God will rebuke you in anger! He will terrify you in His displeasure and fierce fury![2]

America, you will wither beneath God’s righteous anger; you will be overwhelmed by His fury! For God will spread out your sins before Him—your secret sins—and God will see them all! America, you are now living your lives beneath God’s righteous anger, and soon your years will end with a groan![3] By the fury of the LORD of Heaven’s Armies, the land of America will be darkened and burned up, and you will be like fuel for the fire; no one will have compassion—no one will spare even his own brother. It will be each one for Himself![4]

Hear the Word of the LORD: “Behold, I will pour out my terrible fury on this place. Its people, animals, trees, and crops will be consumed by the unquenchable fire of my anger.”[5]

The Voice of Jeremiah’s Rebuke: America, neither will your wealth and materialism save you from God’s wrath and judgment!

Hear the Word of the LORD: “They shall cast their silver into the streets, and their gold shall be discarded like an unclean thing or trash; their silver and gold won’t save them on that day of the Lord’s anger. They cannot use it to satisfy their desires or fill their stomachs. Their greed for gold and silver has led them into sin!”

The Voice of Jeremiah’s Rebuke: America, if in the days of Noah, God destroyed all of mankind in the Flood for their sinful wickedness, except for eight people, then He must destroy you, America![6] If God confounded men’s language and scattered them around the earth for trying to build an idolatrous tower to heaven, then He must scatter you, America![7]  If in the days of Abraham, God destroyed Sodom and Gomorrah for their wickness, depravity and homosexuality, with only Lot and his family escaping, then, He must destroy you, America![8] If God destroyed Pharaoh and his army in the sea for oppressing God’s people, then He must destroy you, America![9] If God poured out His wrath against pagan kings for following after idols and false gods, then He must pour out His righteous anger on you, America![10] And if God poured out His wrath for doing “evil in the sight of the Lord” and not following after Him, then He must pour out His righteous anger and judgment on you, America![11]

Hear the word of the LORD: “He who does not obey the Son of God shall not see life, but the wrath of God abides on him.”[12]

The Voice of Jeremiah’s plea: O America, overwhelming chaos is coming to your nation![13] No matter where I look, I see ruin and devastation! Even the stable mountains will shake! Only God’s mercy can keep you from complete destruction![14] But the Lord Jesus Christ, the Savior of the world, specializes in hopeless cases. He breaks the power of sin and He sets the prisoner free from the bondage of his sin.[15] Repent, mourn your sin, turn back to God, and be saved before it is too late!
